This 2-story Condo was spacious, but outdated and the staircase being right in the center made the living, dining and kitchen area feel much smaller and too dark. Thus, right from the beginning the idea was to remove all the walls around the staircase, and open it up as much as possible.

Thankfully, the stairs were cast concrete and self-supporting, so away the walls went! That allowed us to open-up the kitchen and dining area which created an easy flow between the living room and going up and down the stairs.

All modern fixtures were chosen in light colors, while LEICHT cabinetry and countertops were dark, to ground the space and get a feel of cozy.

By creating an open staircase, we were able to truly turn this into a one-of-a-kind condo!
